Laser Technician
This course typically covers a range of topics, including laser physics and safety, skin physiology, and treatment techniques. You will learn how to operate various types of laser equipment, as well as how to assess skin conditions and develop treatment plans.
Practical Includes:
- Laser Hair Removal (Diode Laser)
- Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat various skin conditions
Course Duration:
Skin Care
Skin Care covers a wide range of topics, including skin anatomy, skin types and conditions and advanced skin treatments. Students will learn about the effects of aging, sun damage, and environmental factors on the skin, as well as how to perform basic facials, medical facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and other skin treatments.
Practical Includes:
- Standard European Facials
- Chemical Peels
- Microdermabrasion
Course Duration:
Electrocautery
Electrocautery is a technique that uses a high-frequency electrical current to cut, coagulate, or remove tissue. The course typically covers a range of topics, including anatomy and physiology, wound healing, sterile technique, and safety protocols. Students will learn how to select and use the appropriate electrocautery settings for different types of procedures, as well as how to manage potential complications.
Practical Includes:
- Skin tag removal
- Cherry angioma removal
- Cholesterol deposit removal
- Xanthelasma removal
- Mole removal
- Wart removal
Duration: 2 days
Microneedling
Microneedling involves using a device with fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, which stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and promotes collagen production. The course will cover a range of topics, including skin anatomy and physiology, microneedling devices and techniques, pre and post-treatment care, and safety protocols. Students will learn how to assess different skin types and conditions, as well as how to develop individualized treatment plans.
Duration: 1 day
Electrolysis
Electrolysis for hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses electrolysis to permanently remove unwanted hair from the body where a small probe is inserted into a hair follicle, and a low-level electric current is applied to the hair root to permanently remove the hair. The course begins with an introduction to basic concepts such as electric charge, ionization, and electrochemical cells. Students will also learn about different types of electrolysis cells and techniques for measuring and controlling electrolysis reactions, as well as common applications of electrolysis in fields such as energy storage, chemical synthesis, and materials science.
Duration: 2 days
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a scalpel to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair (also known as “peach fuzz”) from the surface of the skin. The course covers topics such as skin anatomy and physiology, safety and sanitation protocols, proper use of dermaplaning tools and equipment, and aftercare and follow-up procedures.
