Before your appointment
- Schedule a consultation with a qualified skincare professional to discuss your specific skin concerns and treatment goals. A one-time non-refundable fee of $40.00 is required for all new patient consults.
- Inform the skincare professional about any existing medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are currently taking.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before the treatment.
- Avoid Accutane 6 months prior to treatments.
- Avoid IPL and all Laser treatments for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
- Botox and Filler should be avoided for at least 4-6 weeks prior.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily, even on cloudy days
- Discontinue use of any prescription retinoids, glycolic, salicylic acids, retinol, vitamin C, Vitamin A, or harsh skincare products for at least one week before the treatment, unless instructed otherwise by your skincare professional.
- Avoid waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, hair removal creams, or any other forms of hair removal in the treatment area for at least one week prior.
- If you’re prone to cold sores, please take the prescribed medication 2 days prior and the day of the treatment.
- Avoid aspirin, vitamin e or all blood thinning medications for at least 5-7 days prior as bruising may be visible especially after microneedling.
- Keep your skin well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to the treatment.
- Minimize smoking and alcohol consumption, as they can impair the healing process and affect the results of the treatment.
After your appointment
- Strictly adhere to sun protection measures by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, and limit sun exposure for at least two weeks post-treatment.
- Cleanse your face with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser recommended by your skincare professional.
- Do not pick, pull, rub while skin is peeling. Allow to fall off naturally as you don’t want to cause unnecessary scarring.
- Skin Treatments Avoid makeup after facials, peels, microneedling or any skin care treatment. This can cause the pores to be blocked with bacteria. Allow skin to heal naturally for 24-48 hours after.
- Avoid sunbathing, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive heat for at least one-week post-treatment
- Do not go to the gym for at least 24-48 hours and work out a sweat as this can lead to skin irritation.
- Discontinue use of any prescription retinoids, glycolic, salicylic acids, retinol, vitamin C, Vitamin A, or harsh skincare products for at least one week after the treatment, unless instructed otherwise by your skincare professional.
- Use a gentle and hydrating moisturizer to keep the skin nourished and prevent dryness. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
